Health benefits of our microgreens

Hello class,

Welcome back for another lesson about microgreens! Today we are going to unpack the HUGE health benefits of the microgreens we provide and in another class, learn about others we do not sell. 

We are going to dive in and talk about: Broccoli, Radish, Collard greens, swiss chard, sunflowers, beets, and pea shoots. We will discuss their daily nutritional value of a 2000 calorie diet assuming you eat 1 bag of 50g (not a lot either!), as well as the nutrients they carry and their specialized compounds that really kick butt!

Broccoli: 

Regular broccoli carries a compound called sulforaphane which actively fights cancer. Broccoli microgreens carry the same compound, but concentrated by 40 times!! Each bag contains; 80% Vitamin A, 100% Vitamin C, and 120% of Vitamin K. 

FUN FACT: Broccoli has more Vitamin C than oranges!!

 

Radish:

Radish is yet another microgreen with MORE Vitamin C than oranges- but by weight! These pepper-y greens are loaded with antioxidants that help fight inflammation, aid to detox and liver function! Each bag contains 40% Vitamin A, 35% Vitamin C, and 100% Vitamin K. 

Collard greens:

Collard greens have a mild flavor and are high in Calcium and Vitamin K, making them crazy good for bone health. They are cousins to kale and broccoli and share similar health properties. Each bag contains 70% Vitamin A, 50% Vitamin C, 10% Calcium and 150% Vitamin K

Swiss chard: Swiss Chard is pack full of Vitamin K, which is essential for blood clotting  and bone health! These red and yellow beauties are rich in magnesium, making them great stress reliever alongside its physical health performance. Each bag contains 50% Vitamin A, 30% Vitamin C, 150% Vitamin K, and 8% of magnesium. 

Sunflowers:

Sunflowers are beautiful and radiant. They do the same for humans! Sunflowers are rich with healthy fats and vitamin E, making them great for your skin, and builds your immunity. Not only are they super good for you, they also taste like candy and ate great for smoothies or avocado toast.

Each bag contains Vitamin E: 60%, Vitamin B6: 20% Vitamin B9: 30% and Magnesium: 15%

Beets:

Beets are as deep in nutrients as they are in the colour, red! They are packed with antioxidants, aiding liver health, detox, and promote youthful glowing skin. Beets also aid in the production of red blood cells. Each bag contains,  40% Vitamin A, 30%  Vitamin C, 80% Vitamin K, 20% Vitamin B9, 6% Iron, and 8% Magnesium 

Pea shoots: Pea shoots are a protein powerhouse compared to other microgreens. They are also pumped with all 9 essential amino acids making them complete protein. These proteins provide the building blocks for your body to make other proteins, repair tissues, and perform various bodily functions. Each bag contains 100% Vitamin A, 80% Vitamin C, and 120% Vitamin K!
